Captain Thomas Tittle
has recently retired from a very
distinguished 29-year Florida law
enforcement career. He served with the
Marion County Sheriffbs Office in
Ocala, Florida, retiring as a Captain,
with the title of Assistant Bureau
Chief. He worked in practically every
position the sheriffbs office had.
Tom also had involvement in the Aileen
Wuornos serial homicide investigation
and was part of an undercover
surveillance team watching her every
movement until the decision was made
arrest her. Tom has a bachelorbs
degree from the University of West
Florida, an Administratorbs Officer
Degree from the Southern Police
Institute in Louisville, Kentucky and
several thousand hours on training. He
has been a law enforcement trainer for
many years and has taught extensively at
the police recruit level and advanced
level, even teaching as an adjunct
instructor at St. Leo University near
Tampa, Florida. Because of Tombs
reputation, he also has lectured at the
Florida Coastal School of Law situated
in Jacksonville, Florida, on Domestic
Violence Issues in that schools special
topics classes, University of South
Florida, National D.A.R.E. AND S.R.O.
Conferences and has consulted privately
in the area of wrongful arrests. Tombs
most recent police training experience
as a national instructor for the largest
private provider of law enforcement and
fire service in the United States sets
him apart from all others in the field.
He has traveled the US extensively
teaching to law enforcement officers,
corrections, military and social service
groups. He has truly become a subject
matter expert in the field of Rape and
Sex Crimes Investigations as well as
Contemporary Issues regarding Domestic
Violence.
Tom also participated in state,
regional, national and world police
Olympic Games having won many gold
medals. He has won a gold medal for high
jump in the world games and several gold
medals in the team tug of war
competition over numerous years.
